What is hardware acceleration?

Hardware acceleration allows your computer to draw complicated graphics very quickly. The Meridian Map Editor makes use of hardware acceleration to give you a fast experience even when you have a complicated routing graph or lots of placemarks.

How can I enable hardware acceleration?

If you are using Google Chrome, you can access perform the following steps to enable hardware acceleration:

1. Click the ( ⠇) menu
2. Click Settings
3. Click Advanced
4. Click System
5. Click Use hardware acceleration when available
6. Then quit Google Chrome and start it back up again

After performing these steps, the No hardware acceleration message in the Map Editor should go away. If it still persists, your computer may be missing proper graphics drivers.
