Asset Tracking Certificate Update Follow
The Certificate required for Asset Tracking will no longer work starting November 1st, 2024. All Asset Tracking customer users must add the new root certificate to avoid an asset tracking outage.
BOTH certificates (DigiCert Global Root CA and DigiCert Global Root G2) must be installed to ensure a clean transition occurs on November 1st, 2024.
Download New Certificate for Asset Tracking
Meridian Asset Tracking will require DigiCert Global Root G2 starting November 2024 which can be downloaded from https://www.digicert.com/kb/digicert-root-certificates.htm or at this direct download link.
Once you have downloaded the new cert, DigiCertGlobalRootG2.crt.pem please follow the directions below to add the certificate to your system.
AOS 10 How To Add & Enable Certificate
Add Certificate:
Go to Global >> Organization >> Certificates >> + to add your certificate. The certificate type is CA.
When adding the certificate please ensure the Type is CA and the format is PEM.
Enable Certificate:
After the certificate is uploaded, it must be specified for usage in HPE Aruba Networking Central when the IoT profile authenticates with the Meridian Server.
Go to >> Group >> Config >> Security tab >> Certificate Usage >> IoT CA Cert then select both certificates (DigiCertGlobalRootCA, and DigiCertGlobalRootG2) then save the settings.
NOTE - Do not remove the old Certificate. The old certificate is still required until November 2024 when the swap to the new certificate occurs so both DigiCert Global Root CA and DigiCert Global Root G2 should be installed.
AOS 8 How To Add & Enable Certificate
Add Certificate:
To add the new certificate select Configuration >> System >> Certificates >> + or "Import Certificates"
Please name the certificate and ensure the format is PEM and the type is TrustedCA. Then click Submit >> Pending Changes >> Deploy Changes.
Note - Do not remove the old Certificate. The old certificate is still required until November 2024 when the swap to the new certificate occurs so both DigiCert Global Root CA and DigiCert Global Root G2 should be installed.
AOS 6 How To Add Certificate
To add the certificate to the Mobility Controller, navigate to Configuration > System > Certificates > Import Certificates, and click on the "+" button:

Enter the Certificate name (no spaces)

Upload the Certificate

Select PEM as the certificate format

Select TrustedCA as the certificate type.

Click Upload
HPE Networking Instant 8.7+ How To Add Certificate
- Navigate to Maintenance > Certificates and click on Upload New Certificate.
- Add the updated Root Certificate
- Browse for the certificate file and upload it
- Certificate type: CA
- Certificate format: X509 (.pem .cer or .crt)
- Click Upload Certificate
