Firmware Upgrading Follow

The Aruba Beacons app supports Beacons firmware upgrading.

Identifying Beacons that Need Upgrading

When you open a map in the Beacons app, beacons that need a firmware upgrade will show the !! alert icon.

In general, unless you see the !! icon, it’s not necessary to upgrade any Beacon’s firmware, even if that option is available.

If you place a beacon on the map that needs a firmware upgrade, you’ll be prompted to upgrade the beacon.

Updating a Beacon

To upgrade a beacon, tap a beacon with the !! alert icon.

On the beacon detail screen, tap FIRMWARE.

Tap Upgrade. Tap Cancel to stop the upgrade.

If the firmware is up-to-date, tapping FIRMWARE will display the message “No Upgrade Needed”.
