Image+Text Pages

Image+Text

Image+Text pages combine images and text in different ways, including links to other pages.

LAYOUT

Image+Text pages have three image layout types, Inline, Widescreen, and Full Page.

Inline puts the image in a square in the top right corner. It shrinks the image to fit within the box. This works best for images that are simple and already square, such as logos.

Inline images look best if they have dimensions of at least 1000x1000 pixels. We recommend using images with a square aspect ratio.

Widescreen places the image across the top of the screen. If the image is too big to fit, the Editor grabs a rectangular section of the image. This layout works best for images that are wider than they are tall.

Widescreen images look best if they have dimensions of at least 1000x1000 pixels. We recommend using images with a landscape aspect ratio.

Full Page centers the image at the top of the screen.

Full Page images look best if they have dimensions of at least 1000x1000 pixels. We recommend using images with a landscape aspect ratio.

IMAGE

You can upload images in two ways.

First, click and drag an image onto the IMAGE droplet.

Second, click the IMAGE droplet, find the image file on your computer, and then upload it.

Once the image is uploaded, a thumbnail of the image is added to the droplet. To remove the image, mouseover the droplet, and then click the red trashcan.

You can't undo deleting an image.

EXTERNAL LINKS are set apart from the description text and are more visible than links added to the DESCRIPTION field. You can link to URLs or other Pages created in the Editor.

You can have up to six external links.

In the LINK field, enter a URL with http:// or https:// or the name of another page you've created in the Editor.

When you enter a URL in the LINK field, the Editor will validate the URL. If you don't include http:// or https:// in the URL, it won't register as a valid link. If your SSL link has an invalid certificate, the UIWebView powering our in-app browser won't load the page.

CONTACT INFO

In the CONTACT INFO section, you can add a phone number, email address, and website URL.

When these fields are blank, no content appears on the page.

In the PHONE field, be sure to use an area code. This field supports international numbers. When you add a phone number, a Call link is added to the page.

When you add an email address to the EMAIL field, a Send Email link is added to the page.

In the WEBSITE field, be sure to include http:// or https://. When you add a URL, a Visit Website link is added to the page.

DIRECTIONS BUTTONS

DIRECTIONS BUTTONS are links to specific Placemarks in your app. When a user taps a direction button, it will show directions to that Placemark.

To add a direction button, click the DIRECTIONS +, and then start typing a placemark name in the DIRECTION BUTTONS field. Click a placemark name to select it.

If your organization has more than one location and more than one Meridian-powered app, you can add a link to your other app.

The DOMAIN field is the unique name for your location, and is your Editor location name with words separated by hyphens. The TITLE field is the text that will show in the app.

To get your domain, in the sidebar click Settings. Find the DOMAIN label.

CATEGORY

You can use the CATEGORY field to assign labels to pages making it possible to group and filter pages by category on the List page type.

Categories can be anything you want. When you start typing a category name, the Editor will search for that category and display any matching categories.

If there are no matching categories, the Editor will ask you if you want to create a new one. Click Edit Categories to see a list of all the categories in the Editor.

You can have up to five categories.

KEYWORDS

You can use the CUSTOM VALUES field for use when making List Pages.

Using custom values, you can group, sort, and filter content on List Pages.
